Having recently taken an interest in Lovecraft, I imagine his work had a major influence on this game.

Super cool art. I have to wonder who built it though, and why.

I'm half expecting Shockwave to walk out of it.

Eather mages can make crazy things.
One of the planeswalkers even turned her own dimension with help of some friends into a jail for Eldrazi, being so powerful their mere existance causes extinction of all life.
She then had to build large stone haksahedrones to trap the Eldrazi's avatars on her plane.
The Eldrazi aren't made of flesh and bone bu are forces of nature living in space between dimensions and using avatars when traveling to planes to devour.

Haha, I know that, I'm actually a huge fan of Magic the Gathering (my icon is actually my own fanwalker).

I was more specifically asking what crazy aether mage would build this, as it's clearly demolishing a building. More of a rhetorical question really. I'm sure everyone at the inventors fair probably had a thrill seeing it.

Thanks for the reply. :)

No problem.
I'm a big fan of the game as well.
I taught m little sister how to play the game and now I'm affraid she'll spend to much money on the cards.
I say little sister but she's 26 years old.

Haha, isn't that everyone's fear of the game? haha.

I taught my brother how to play when he was a kid, but he grew out of it and I rarely get to play anymore. We have a local gaming store, but boy are the people there not very nice.

The game is quite addicting.
What deck do you like to play?
I like heroic and Rakdos.

I run bant humans for the most part. I'm more casual than anything though. I use to be big into standard during college but since then I mostly play modern or EDH with my friends.

I like cards with similar abilities and Rakdos is an ideal deck for my playstyle since I usualy ran out of cards in my hands quite quickly having cards that gain benefits from that is great.
besides most designs look like something out of metal songs. mostly Rammstein.

I think I prefer Swandland's, specifically because you can actually see the black and white wurms coiling around each other along the body before they fuse at the head.  Details like that are lacking from this piece, which is just a (cool looking) giant robot wurm.

Ah you seem to be right. But this one is also closer themewise of the new block's personality.

Both good pieces I guess.
